Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot from Siduri was recently recommended by our tasting panel. This wine opens with an old oak infused pipe tobacco and cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is balanced, warm, and silky. It displays dusty black raspberry flavors with infused oak noted throughout as well. The finish is dry, has soft tannins, and lingers slightly. The panel felt this wine would be an ideal match for mushroom risotto or coq au vin. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Perennially, the Shaw Vineyard has produced deep, layered wines no matter how hot or cold the vintage may have been. We can always count on a complex, herbaceous and elegant wine. The 2006 Shaw is all that and then some. This wine shows hints of rhubarb, sage, dried cherry and cassis. As the wine opens up, aromas of candied apples and plums start to show their face. The velvety texture of this wine creates an intense coating on the mouth, and creates a long lingering finish.
