Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot finished in fifth place with a score of 90 points in our recent blind tasting. It opens with a mild, but pleasant spicy raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very smooth, a touch flinty, and well balanced. Its flavors are a blend of raspberry and strawberries with a dash of pepper and spice mixed in. The finish is quite dry and its moderate tannins linger for quite some time. The panel felt this Pinot would pair nicely with shrimp cocktail, a pork tenderloin, or a seared tuna steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The wine is one of seamless complexity and graceful, alluring elegance. Intense aromas of crushed red raspberries, white chocolate, and sarsaparilla are complemented by hints of cardamom and tea spices. On the palate this Pinot is finely balanced showing firmness, good acidity, and the promise of long-term ageability. Our Meredith Estate Pinot pairs beautifully with lamb marinated in Jasmine tea presented on a bed of pureed sweet peas, Asian style baby back ribs, or baked rigatoni with mushrooms and prosciutto.
