Wine Review: I recently opened this pitch black gem with a crew of wine writers at the Boston Wine School. Everyone that tried it really liked it. It opens with a very aromatic black cherry and mulberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, and smooth. It displays jammy and rich blackberry flavors. The finish is dry and shows very subtle tannins for a Petite Sirah. This wine was quite tasty and it is also very quaffable. It will perform best in the near term. I would serve this wine with a baguette covered with a fig spread and Great Hill blue cheese. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Big, Bold and Sexy!! Dark purple color that sets you in a trance as you daze into the glass. Hints of Tobacco, blackberry and bacon fat bring you a true Petite Sirah. Fully dry and full bodied with well balanced tannins on the palate.
