Wine Review: This Finger Lakes Red blend was recently recommended by a mini-tasting group that was covering some Finger Lakes red wines. This dark ruby colored offering opens with an oak infused raspberry like bouquet with a hint of pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, soft, easy to drink, and has a dry mouthfeel. The fruit displayed is a very light black cherry. The finish is quite dry and its moderate tannins linger for quite some time. We felt this wine would pair nicely with meatloaf or shepherds pie. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Full-bodied blend made from our favorite barrels. Hints of sour cherry, tobacco, freshly-cracked pepper and coconut join an elegant mouth-feel and a soft, lingering finish. Will improve over 6 years or more.
