Wine Review: In our second mini tasting of Zins this wine was no surprise as one of the Zins that we recommended. Carol does a really good job with her Zin program. This ruby colored offering opens with a red currant like bouquet with a hint of mint. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and has a dry mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a dusty black cherry with notes of black currant. The finish is quite dry and its tannins are quite lengthy. We felt this wine would pair nicely with a beef brisket. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Very bright pomegranate-wild cherry fruit, brown sugary-caramel oak, fragrant Asian spices—Chinese 5-spice, still a bit young and chewy, but quite drinkable now.
