Wine Review: If you are looking for something different in a white wine, this offering from La Tunella is outstanding. This rich yellow colored wine opens with a honey and apricot like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, smooth, creamy, and well balanced with delicious honey, spice, and mineral flavors. On the fruit side we thought that honeydew melon flavors were present. The finish is dry and it lingered nicely. Our group thought this wine would pair well with chicken picatta. Enjoy -Ken
Winemaker Notes: La Tunella BiancoSesto 2005 boasts a straw-yellow color, with greenish reflections. A wine of great substance, this white blend has a refined and elegant bouquet of confectionary, vanilla and acacia blossoms, intermingling with the vivacious fresh notes of fruit and white flowers. The palate opens with a delicate, full character, which is both supple and flavorful at the same time. A wine of great character, the distinguishing characteristics of each varietal stand out in its persistent finish, with a slight almond note from the Tocai and the fresh sensations of Ribolla.
