Wine Review: This wine is Adam Lee’s version of a dessert wine. It is light yellow in color and made from Viognier. It opens with a very aromatic green pear like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, sweet, and viscous with creamy and tasty apricot marmalade flavors. There is also just a hint of ripe macintosh apple on the back palate. The finish is nicely refreshing. Serve this wine for dessert with sliced green apples and a selection of various cheeses. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Novy Oley Dessert Wine is a rich, unctuous dessert wine with flavors of brown sugar, crème brulee, and pears. The wine turns crisp on the finish (it has more natural acidity than the 2006 version of this wine) and this helps make it a great match for lightly sweet desserts. Unfortunately, we only produced 61 cases of half-bottles so there is very little of this to go around.
