Wine Review: This Chard from Byron is what I call the new style in Chard. It displays a lot less oak and is terroir driven. It’s pale yellow in color and opens with a light green apple like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is round, has crispy acidity, and apple like flavors. You will also find a touch of spice, lime, and mineral notes mixed in as well. The finish is quite dry and lingers a bit. This wine would pair well with a pasta carbonnara. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This 2006 Chardonnay displays aromas of orange blossom, fig and lychee, accented by hints of mineral and toasty oak. On the palate, the wine is well balanced with traces of honey, mandarin orange and toasty brown spice, giving way to a long, lingering finish.
