Wine Review: This ruby red colored wine opens with a mild black cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, and nicely balanced between its fruit and acidity. It is easy to drink and displays tasty black cherry flavors. The finish is dry and its soft tannins are slightly prolonged. This very food friendly wine would pair nicely with veal parmigianna. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A deep but luminous purple-red introduces 2006 Lucente. Measured elegance marks the nose, which first releases subtle notes of vanilla that slowly yield to ripe, dark fruit, particularly dried plum and liqueur blackcurrants, composing an appealing, velvet-smooth bouquet notable for its multi-layered depth. It expands impressively on the palate, with a steady progression supported by dense, supple tannins, through to a superb, aromatic finish. Overall, a crisp, refined, beautifully-balanced wine.
