Wine Review: Inman’s goal is to make elegant and approachable Pinot Noir. Kathleen has done it again with her 2006 Russian River Pinot. This bright ruby wine opens with an inviting raspberry and strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth, and soft with spicy raspberry flavors. The finish is dry and its tannins are young and linger nicely. I would pair this food friendly Pinot with salmon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The color of this wine is deep ruby, with a garnet rim. Its aroma is sweet cherry, white chocolate, strawberry, fresh ginger and nutmeg. The flavors echo the aromas with sweet cherry, strawberry, and vanilla. Secondary flavors include roasted meat and savory herbs, dried cranberries, caramel and baking spices - cloves, nutmeg and ginger. The texture is voluptuous and fills your mouth while the acid perks up the taste buds and give the wine a "salivacious" quality. The finish is long and complex.
