Wine Review: I love how Russian River Pinot is so food friendly and Adam Lee has captured that softness in this wine. This dark ruby wine opens with a very shy raspberry bouquet that also has a touch of new oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth with spicy black cherry flavors. The finish is dry and its well managed tannins linger nicely. As I mentioned, this is a very food friendly Pinot and I would pair it with a pork tenderloin smothered with a brown sage sauce. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2006 Siduri Parsons’ Vineyard Pinot Noir is one of our richest, most fruit forward 2006 Pinot Noirs. The wine shows blueberry cream, vanilla, and violet characteristics. With a rich mouthfeel and generous texture we are not certain that is wine will make old bones (after all there is no track record here for aging) but we do know that it will make inviting drinking for the next 3-5 years.
