Wine Review: Every wine I have tried from this producer so far has been impressive and this 2006 Cabernet showed the same characteristics when our tasting panel reviewed it recently. It was so impressive that it tied for second place in our blind tasting of high end Cabs. This black cherry colored wine opens with a menthol and mint like bouquet. On the palate, this medium to full bodied wine is well balanced, smooth, and elegant while displaying yummy black cherry flavors with a hint of raspberry. This wines excellent finish is dry and its well managed tannins are nicely prolonged. The panel felt this wine would pair quite nicely with a ribeye or seafood stew like Bouillabaisse. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The wine has a deep maroon red colour. The varietal nose is an intense display of wild blackcurrant and dark cherry, intermingled with freshly ground cinnamon, crème brulee and a fresh leafy lift. The palate is vibrant with sweet fruit, developing into a fleshy, creamy mid palate. Fine savoury tannins built into the wine give it structure and persistence with a raw silk feel. The wine is drinking well now and will cellar for many years.
