Wine Review: This bright ruby colored wine from Jeff Gordon opens with a blackberry like bouquet with some earthy and smoky wood notes as well. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is round, soft, and shows off tasty black cherry flavors with a touch of oak and black tea on the back palate. The finish is dry, with continuing wood notes, and slight tannins that linger a bit. The panel felt this wine would pair nicely with a grilled tuna or ribs. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This Cabernet is much like the Jeff Gordon Merlot in stature. It has stick to the glas viscosity and assertive tannins that run from beginning to end. Much more elegant and rich on the palate, this wine shows a complex construction of flavors that run from black currant and plum to a bit of raspberry ripeness with a touch of toasted oak that transforms into a creamy finish. It never lets you forget about the properly integrated tannins of mountain grown fruit.
