Wine Review: This Chard didn’t last very long. Our mini panel really liked it a lot. This bright yellow wine opens with a light apple and pear like bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very well balanced, and creamy with lemon meringue pie flavors. There are also pleasant light oak notes on the back palate as well. The finish is dry and has nice length. This wine would pair very nicely with halibut stuffed with crab meat and topped with a cream sauce. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: "One of our most profound sites (block 48), is situated at 1,800 feet. The rocky, shallow site is exposed and straddles a high ridgeline. The wine from Upper Barn is known for its complexity and hedonistic texture and reveals itself in luscious layers with each subsequent swirl and sniff in the glass." - Graham Weerts, Winemaker
