Wine Review: Alvarino is one of my favorite white wines. The options from Portugal are a little different from those from Spain. This option is light yellow colored and opens with a light pear like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, clean, fresh and fresh with mineral infused green apple like flavors. The finish is dry and subtle. Pair this tasty wine with a light fish like sole or rainbow trout. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Produced exclusively with Alvarinho grapes (the Queen of Portuguese white grapes), this dry white presents a straw pale color, a complex flowery aroma, with accents of peaches and tropical fruit. It is a very fresh and elegant wine with spicy citric fruit flavors.
