Wine Review: This dark brick red colored wine opens with a spicy strawberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, balanced, with spicy strawberry like flavors. The finish is dry and its soft tannins linger nicely. This Pinot is a nice food wine and would be a wonderful choice with pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Chehalem Mountains Appellation is Oregon’s newest Appellation established in 2006. The grapes from the Chehalem Mountains tend to ripen at lower sugars with higher levels of natural acidity. Fortunately, they also tend to show great physiological ripeness at these lower sugar levels & thus we are able to utilize some whole cluster fermentations with these wines. We believe this provides them with an additional level of complexity.
