Wine Review: Inexpensive Pinot is hard to come by, but this offering from Veramonte is Good+ and a good value. This bright black cherry colored wine opens with an earthy, musty, and leather like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is round, shows nicely integrated acidity, is a little thin, and has slightly sour cherry flavors with notes of ripe strawberries. The finish is dry and subtle. Readers who like everyday Chianti, might find this to be a good alternative. Enjoy this reasonably priced everyday Pinot with pizza or spaghetti and meatballs. Cheers – Ken
Winemaker Notes: It evokes aromas of red summer berries mingling with toast and vanilla. Bright cherry, grape and strawberry fruit flavors with touches of spicy oak; mouth-filling, medium-to-full body and rich texture.
