Wine Review: For those of you looking for an elegant Napa Cab, look no further. Tom Eddy’s 2001 will meet your needs. This dark ruby wine opens with an attractive spicy black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is very well balanced, very smooth, and sophisticated. It is medium bodied, has nicely integrated acidity, and displays spicy black cherry flavors that build upon your palate. The finish is dry and has well managed tannins that linger for some time. This wine is very food friendly and would pair nicely with a NY strip steak. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: 2001 will go down in California history as a classic Cab vintage in Napa along with 1997 and 1999. Deep red-violet color unfolds to black cherry, violet, cedar, tar and dark chocolate notes in the aroma. The wine flavors include palates of Bing cherry, violets and chewy tannins. The finish of the wine is sturdy and mouth filling. Due to length and richness of the flavors, we expect this complex wine to age for many years! Open a bottle, relax and enjoy life!
