Wine Review: This very dark purple wine opens with a very inviting ripe blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is nicely balanced, smooth, and loaded with concentrated spicy blackberry and blueberry flavors that grow in intensity in your mouth. The finish is dry, shows a touch o heat, and has dusty tannins that linger for quite some time. This wine is calling for Cajun meatloaf or Memphis styled barbecue ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2006 Sonoma Zin was kissed with a touch of Petite Sirah and aged in small French and American oak barrels for 14 months. This wine has a sexy nose with velvet vanilla oak tones, followed by rich, spicy berry fruit and a hint of cedar. Big flavors, yet refined and stylish. The James Bond of Zinfandel…he will seduce you.
