Wine Review: Initially, I did not think this dark ruby wine had much of a bouquet, but with a quick swill the wine wakes up to offer a big berry blast on the nose. On the palate, this wine is balanced, syrupy, lively, rich, and lush. The flavor profile is concentrated sweet raspberry flavors with note of fruitcake. The finish is brief, but quite pleasing. This is a nice after dinner option that will appeals to red dessert wine fans. Drink it with a fruit based dessert like a tart, pour it over your favorite vanilla ice cream, or just enjoy it alone. Cheers – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Inky blue-purple in color, yummy deep razz-blackberry jam and luscious dark chocolate of oak spices, sweet but not clumsy, pleasingly balanced with a bit a tartness, not at all hotly alcoholic, bit of warm vanilla at finish.
