Wine Review: I recent tried this Grüner at Eastern Standard in Boston before a Red Sox game. This light yellow wine opens with light wet stone like bouquet with a hint of citrus. On the palate, this light to medium bodied wine is round and displays nicely balanced citrus fruit flavors with integrated acidity. The finish is dry and refreshing and lingers for some time. This is a very approachable and food friendly wine that would pair well with roasted chicken and garlic or halibut stuffed with crab meat. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This zesty fresh version of Gruner Veltliner bursts with crisp flavors. Aromas of fresh apples and black currants, along with a mineral spiciness lead to a palate of green apple, ripe grapefruit, and lime characteristic of the varietal. It is an extremely dry white with great mouthwatering Kamptal acidity. A superb summer companion.
