Wine Review: This opaque purple wine opens with a bit of a funky barnyard like bouquet. On the palate, this full bodied wine is smooth and rich. It displays concentrated blackberry flavors with hints of pepper. The finish is dry, with soft tannins and it is slightly prolonged. This wine would appeal the Rhône wine fans and would pair nicely with a rack of Memphis styled ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wine exhibits a pronounced floral aroma along with chamois leather and plum preserves. In the mouth the tannins are extremely supple with enough acidity to lift the fruit profile and add considerable length to the wine’s finish. A conservative but appropriate alcohol of 13.7% keeps everything in harmonious balance.
