Wine Review: This vineyard came onto the scene with its terrific Zinfandels. Their Merlot is pretty good as well. This clear ruby red wine opens with a fruity light spicy cherry like bouquet with hints of forest floor. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is round, nicely balanced, very easy drinking, and displays light cherry flavors with a touch of oak. The finish is dry, has soft tannins, and is a bit brief. This is a nice comfort food wine that would pair nicely with shepherd’s pie. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aroma's of cedar, black cherries, licorice with earthy notes. (No leather) This full bodied wine reveals complex layers and flavors of blackberry, herbs, cedar and tobacco with earthy undertones. Barrel aging provides hints of oak and vanilla to the wine - leaving a smooth & lingering finish. The tannin structure insures successful aging while the fruit remain balanced & supple thruout.
