Wine Review: This wine was recommended by our panel in a high end blind tasting that we conducted on February 1st. This opaque dark purple wine opens with a blackberry and spicy pepper like bouquet that has a prominent oak influence. On palate, this medium bodied wine is round, smooth, smoky, and has lots of toasted oak influence along with dusty black current flavors. The finish is quite dry, has fine tannins and had a little length. This wine is going to appeal to Bordeaux fans. Enjoy it with a rustic meal like beef brisket. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The Cape’s first five varietal Bordeaux blend, Fusion V has become one of South Africa’s most sought-after and iconic bottlings. Stylish and seductive, this ageworthy, Cab dominated blend flaunts concentrated flavors of black current, licorice, dark chocolate, and spice. Silky tannins, a seamless structure, and elegant minerality add to the wines alluring complexity.
