Wine Review: This is the second vintage in a row that we have recommended this Syrah from Rudy Schultz. This ruby colored wine opens with a mild cherry bouquet with noticeable toasted oak, smoke, and tobacco. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is very Old World in style. It displays smooth dusty black cherry flavors with continued oak. The finish is very dry and has some pretty good length. The panel felt that this wine would pair nicely with meatloaf or a porterhouse steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This stunning Syrah boast beautiful aromas of blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, and pepper that follow through on the lengthy palate. Well integrated tannins and seductive hints of mocha, earth, and spice add to the complexity of this eponymous bottling from Thelema winemaker Rudi Schultz.
