Wine Review: This extremely bright red wine made from the indigenous Moristel grape opens with a very shy bouquet. On the palate, the wine is round, smooth, and pretty well balanced. It displays mild dark berry flavors with some cola as well. This quaffer of a wine is very easy to drink. Almost too easy. The finish is quite dry, dusty, and shows a touch of wood and the tannin lingers for quite some time. For a simple wine, I really like the finish a lot. This is a good grilled burger wine. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: One hundred percent Moristel. Brightly aromatic with a deep ruby/purple color and mouth-tingling loganberry flavor - a highly individual and versatile young red wine. The deeply fruity and soft 2005 reaches new heights for this varietal, displaying the buoyancy, silky texture and fresh focus of top Cru Beaujolais.
