Wine Review: This wine was the last option that we tried in a mini sampling of Northern Italian White Wines from the Alto Adige region. This wine was certainly a treat and one of my favorites. This light yellow wine opens with a grapefruit and gooseberry like bouquet with hints of green apple. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is very smooth, creamy, and has nicely integrated acidity and fruit. The wine displays very tasty lime like flavors. The finish is dry, refreshing, and subtle. This impressive Sauvignon Blanc could easily be mistaken for a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc if tasted blind. It would also beat many of them as well. This wine is a perfect summer pool wine. Serve this wine chilled and enjoy. - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This Sauvignon is elegant and aromatic. Greenish in color with yellow hues, this wine expresses the typical varietal profile of Sauvignon: racy, with distinctive flavors of melon, grapefruit and grass followed by spicy green peppers and gooseberry notes.
