Wine Review: This blended wine is the result of a project between producers Barons de Rothschild & Nicolas Catena. Their blend seems to be very consistent each year. This Very Good value wine is made from 50% Malbec & 50% Cabernet. The wine is very dark purple in color. It opens with a forward spicy berry like bouquet with slight hints of leather and oak. On the palate, the wine is round, nicely balanced, very easy to drink but has a little structure. The wine displays tasty dusty cherry flavors. The finish is quite dry with easy going soft tannins that linger nicely. For the money this wine is above average. This wine would be a perfect complement to Beef Bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep purple-red colour. Fruit driven wine, with appealing red and black cherries flavours, black plums, hint of mint and cedar. On the palate it has anice tannic texture that is full and round. Notes of vanilla and tobacco coming from French oak.
