Wine Review: The bouquet of this dark ruby wine bursts from the glass. It displays cherry aromas some noticeable oak influence. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, and has juicy cherry flavors with a hint of oak. This wine is very easy to drink, not overly complex, but is quite enjoyable. The finish is dry and lingers with a little toasty oak as it fades away. This wine would pair perfectly with ribs or meatloaf. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: 2003 reaches new levels of concentration and complexity. Archetypical Rioja Alta composition: 85% Tempranillo, 5% Mazuelo, 5% Graciano and 5% Garnacha, aged 14 months in American oak. An elegant, updated version of the traditional Rioja style.
