Wine Review: This wine always seems to do very well with our tasting panel and this year’s vintage was no exception. This wine finished in 4th place with a score of 93.4. This very dark purple wine opens with a very extracted and appealing blueberry nose with a touch of heat. On the palate, this full bodied wine is well balanced, smooth, and has a burst of extracted and intensely flavored boysenberry flavors with some earth and wood influences. The finish is quite dry, not overly tannic, but persistently long. The panel felt this very impressive wine would pair nicely with a juicy ribeye or Beef Wellington. Enjoy – KWGTP
