Wine Review: This Cab will appeal to those of you who want a Cab with more fruit and acidity. Pinot Noir and Zin lovers are really going to like it. This dark ruby wine opens with a berry like bouquet with hints of nutmeg and spice. On the palate, this medium bodied is round, not overly complex, and has fruit forward spicy blackberry like flavors with toasty vanilla and hints of clove and caramel. The finish is dry and fades nicely. Enjoy this tasty and food friendly wine over the holidays with ham and veal medallions with mushrooms and brown sauce. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bright wild blackberry and cherry are complimented with abundant spice. Black pepper, clove, allspice, vanilla, nutmeg and a hint of cedar smoke. Finely knit together with a silky mid-palate, this wine has sufficient tannin backbone for aging. This wine will be delicious for the next five to ten years.
