Wine Review: This wine finished in second place in our most recent blind tasting of white wines. This light yellow wine opens with a funky ripe peach like bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is well balanced, smooth, shows a touch of acidity, a bit zesty, and displays lime like flavors with hints of green apple. The finish is dry, subtle, and clean. The panel felt this wine would pair nicely with roasted chicken and thyme or quail. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Floral and sweet on the nose, the 2006 Chenin Blanc-Viognier exhibits fragrant aromas of pear and melon, with a delicate touch of pink grapefruit. Sweet, bright flavors of citrus and pear are offered up along with a supple texture. The slightly off-dry fi nish is clean and crisp, marked with notes of grapefruit peel. Enjoy now or cellar for two years.
