Wine Review: This wine is consistently one of the best Sauvignon Blanc’s coming out to California in my opinion. The 2006 vintage continues that tradition of success. This light yellow wine opens with a pretty green apple and melon like bouquet. On the palate, the wine has wonderful balance, very pleasant acidity, and nicely displays its lime and grapefruit flavors. The finish is elegant, dry, and fades nicely. I would really enjoy this wine with grilled swordfish and lemon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2006 Cliff Lede Sauvignon Blanc is perfumed with a panoply of aromas ranging from mandarin orange, lychee, and apricot, to fennel, mineral, and blooming flowers. This is a medium-bodied wine that is both crisp and flavorful with nuances of melon, grapefruit, and honeysuckle ending in a long and intense full finish.
