Wine Review: This wine won our recent blind white wine tasting. This rich yellow wine opens with mild pear and mango aromas with hints of kiwi as well. On the palate, this medium to full bodied wine is slightly sweet and has a pleasant richness to it. It is a bit viscous, smooth, and balanced as well. Its flavor profile is honey and shows some mango as well. The finish is slightly sweet and subtle. The panel felt this would be a Very Good dessert styled wine to serve with sharp cheese or as an aperitif served with stuffed mushrooms. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This delicious off-dry wine is made of the famous Hárslevelű, one of the grapes used in the making of the Tokaji Aszú dessert wine. With balanced acidity, a lovely, gently floral nose it matches wonderfully with spicy foods. It is similar in style to a moderately sweet German Riesling or a French Vouvray.
