Wine Review: We had a business dinner at Meritage Restaurant in Boston recently and this wine was clearly one of the groups favorite wines. This wine particularly appealed to the New World fans. This dark purple wine opens with a mildly aromatic spicy blackberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine has luscious spicy blackberry flavors. It has some acidity and its fruit is very forward. The finish is rather dry and goes on and on. This wine paired perfectly with my veal tenderloin with a brown sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A deep, powerful nose of plums, chocolate and oak spice. Warm, mouthfilling texture, lots of dark berries and chocolate, and a long sweetly tannic finish.
