Wine Review: This indigo ink colored wine opens with an appealing cherry bouquet with hints of mint and black licorice. On the palate, this charming wine is smooth, very easy to drink, and has moderate and controlled black fruit and dried cranberry flavors. This wine is dry and has fine tannins and persists for quite some time on the finish. It is not the most complex wine, but it is really tasty and would pair very well with meatloaf or grilled steak tips. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: 2004 is a textbook vintage in northern Spain, average temperature and rainfall contrasting with the hot 2003 and dry 2005 vintages. A classic, concentrated wine has been obtained, with blackberry-intense fruit, inky deep cherry color and deep tannin/acid structure. There can be little doubt that this is the best vintage of Condado de Haza since the début, legendary 1994.
