Wine Review: I recently attended a "Syrah/Shiraz" wine tasting @ the Boston Wine School. This value wine has had a lot of press and fan fare, so I was very excited to try it. It did not disappoint. This very dark purple wine opens with a blackberry bouquet with hints of licorice. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is smooth, well balanced, and has forward spicy black cherry flavors with hints of rosemary. The finish is dry and relatively brief. This wine will match well grilled meats. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: "Smooth and round, with ripe plum, blackberry and dusky spice fl avors that just don’t quit, lingering on the open-textured finish. Not a big wine, but fl avorful and graceful."
