Wine Review: This light wine has a light refreshing citrus bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, a touch tart, and very refreshing. This wines flavor profile is very much like a granny smith apple with a touch of grapefruit. The finish is quite dry and subtle. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The reason why we call this wine "Original" Chenin is because often the natural fruit flavors in wine are dominated by overoaking. Therefore we returned to the "ORIGINAL" fruit flavors of the Chenin grape. The wine shows big pineapple, golden delicious apple and ripe pear whitefruit with a hint of citrus and orange peel. Concentrated mid pallet with a mineral and soft acidity on the finish. This wine shows great balance between structure and freshness. We especially recommend this wine to compliment spicy dishes, and sushi with wasabi.
