Wine Review: This wine rounded out the field of our recommended wines from our May 2007 Sauvignon Blanc tasting. The panel scored this wine 87.2 or Very Good. What impressed us was to find out that this wine was the wineries first ever produced Sauvignon Blanc. This almost clear wine had a shy almost non-existent musty bouquet. However, on the palate this medium bodied wine is very round, savory, and very easy to drink. The flavor profile was very different and likeable. One taster called it candied orange peel. This wine is very food friendly. The panel envisioned it with stuffed mushrooms and pad thai. The finish was refreshing and deemed a very nice summer wine. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of lemongrass introduce flavors of white grapefruit and citrus that leads to a crisp acidic finish.
