Wine Review: As many of you know, I have an affinity towards the Russian River Valley for Pinot Noir. This year's "Nugent" shows off the finer points that the Russian River Valley brings to Pinot Noir. This ruby red wine opens with a very big and expressive raspberry fruit forward bouquet. It is so inviting. On the palate, the wine is so smooth and silky. A distinguishing characteristic of a Russian River Pinot. The fruit flavors are quite powerful and up front. The wine is well balanced and quite food friendly and versatile. The finish is pleasant, elegant, and slightly extended. This wine was a real crowd pleaser at a recent charity tasting that we hosted. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A forward bouquet of focused ripe strawberry, raspberry and boysenberry. Rich and broad in texture. Fruit driven with plum, salmonberry, marionberry and traces of minerality.
