Wine Review: I recently sat down to try a couple of wines with Edward Wallo, who with his wife Deborah founded Yorkville Cellars. Ed’s vineyards and wines are certified as organic. This Merlot opens with a distinctive cranberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is lively, vibrant, and a bit acidic. The flavor profile of the wine is raspberry like. This wine would match well with an Italian meal like chicken parmigiana. This finish is slightly dry and brief. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Medium - full bodied red with bright fruit flavors of blueberry and cassis. Aromas of anise, brown spice, a hint of new leather. Some tannins in finish with a note of white pepper.
