Wine Review: Niner was a new winery for me to experience at a recent Paso Robles tasting. My favorite wine from their current lineup was their Sangiovese. This ruby red wine has a mild bouquet. On the palate, the wine is vibrant, a touch acidic, and exciting. This wine is built for red sauce meals. I was thinking pasta with a clam marinara sauce. The finish is dry and quite lengthy. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine’s deep dark color is notable for Sangiovese. The promises made by its appearance are kept by the aromas and flavors of this dark rich wine. The nose brings aromas of black fruit and well-integrated oak with a hint of licorice. Warm rich flavors of jammy blackberry and juicy cherry are accompanied by soft tannins and a subtle note of mint on the finish.
