Wine Review: This wine brings back memories of a wine that is no longer made, but I had fond memories of. This Riesling has aromas that blend the floral characteristics of Gewurtraminer, Viognier, and Riesling. In a blind tasting I certainly would have thought this was a blend. On the palate, the wine is refreshing, but not too dry and not too sweet. This wine travels right down the middle. The flavor profile is like a cross between a honeydew melon and a lemon. It is a touch acidic. The finish is the same and is quite refreshing and lingers for some time. The wine this reminds me of was a white blend called Quaff made by the Z Moore Winery. This is a quaffing wine as well. Served best poolside and chilled. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This riesling presents a green gold hue, displaying the refreshing qualities of the variety: crisp acidity, a pronounced mineral character and layers of fruit aromas. Descriptors include honeysuckle, apple, melon and lychee. The ripeness of the grapes resulted in a great texture with a lingering fruity aftertaste.
