Wine Review: At the 2008 Boston Wine Expo this year, we had a chance to try this wine again. It was still my favorite offering from the portfolio shown. This straw yellow wine opens with a light lime like bouquet with some minerality. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied wine is dry, crisp, and has a zesty style with distinct mineral flavors. The finish is dry and very refreshing. This would be a perfect wine to serve with bay scallops or oysters. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2006 Semi Dry Riesling, presenting a light golden hue, shows a fruitier less mineral character than the dry Riesling. The bouquet is dominated by ripe fruity aromas of melon, pear and pineapple. The mouthfeel is very pleasant with a good balance between the residual sugar and the acidic backbone typical of Riesling with a long finish. This Semi-dry Riesling is very enjoyable with spicy food or just on its own.
