Wine Review: Rieslings from the Finger Lakes region in New York are becoming pretty popular these days, so I thought I would try a few at the Boston Wine Expo. This Riesling from Standing Stone has a pleasant floral bouquet. On the palate, the wine is has lemon-lime like flavors and is refreshing and acidic. The finish is dry and nicely extended. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Classic Standing Stone Vineyards Riesling. While the residual sugar says "semi dry" many are fooled into believing it is dry. This wine is lively, with round, full notes of tangerine and other exotic fruits. A hint of acidity balances the wine perfectly. The finish is a pleasant, flinty lift. This wine is great with hard cheeses or chicken dishes.
