Wine Review: Joel Peterson, winemaker for Ravenswood was in town for the Boston Wine Expo and I had a chance to sit down and talk to him about this wine. Joel likes to make his wine to be an expression of the vineyard and the terroir. This rich purple wine has a very expressive wonderful bouquet. On the palate, the wine is nicely proportioned, smooth as silk, and quite tasty. This is a wine to consume soon with a nice steak dinner. The finish is quite lengthy and elegantly dry. The vineyard must be a pretty place, because it produced a pretty wine. Enjoy - Ken
