Wine Review: OK all you French wine lovers, here is the steal of the month. Alex DeWinter, Wine Director from Grill 23 in Boston recommended that we add this wine to our recent blind wine tasting of Rhône wines. So we did and the wine finished in third place. The beauty of it all is this wine is $12 and it was clearly better than many of the wines that cost much more. This wine instantly gets place in Ken’s Practical Party Case. This wine has a sweet cherry and peppery bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is smooth as silk and elegant. It has very nice flavors, is well proportioned and has some complexity. The finish is nicely dry and a tad extended. Envision this wine with veal medallions and brown sauce. Enjoy – KWGTP
