Wine Review: This wine has a mild bouquet. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied, with a little acid, and good flavors. This is another good food wine from this producer. It is very similar to a Pinot Noir. The finish is dry. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A blend of 90% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Merlot, it is a good example of what Cabernet Franc can achieve on Long Island. It is dark ruby in color and has aromas of smoke and strawberries. The mouthfeel is soft and generous but focused and bright. Flavors of red fruits, especially strawberry, are evident, along with smoke and lush earthiness. It would pair well with fowl or game or mushroom dishes. The wine is ready to drink now, but it will continue to improve in the bottle for several years, at least. It would pair well with fowl or game or mushroom dishes.
