Wine Review: We were at Camille’s Italian restaurant in Providence, RI at work event the other day and this wine was the white wine option for the evening. A fine choice it was. This yellow wine opens with apricot aromas with hints of vanilla and ripe pears. On the palate, this wine is smooth, has no hard edges, and goes down quite nicely. This classic CA chardonnay had green apple like flavors with rounded edges of vanilla and oak. The finish is dry and briefly fades away. This wine complemented the shrimp scampi and chicken dishes that were offered. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Fresh aromas of citrus, butterscotch and lemon peel open to appealing hints of jasmine and nutmeg. On the palate, rich buttercream, pear and citrus meld to create a plush, rounded middle, with toast and caramel adding richness and texture to the long, lingering finish. - Melissa Stackhouse, La Crema Winemaker
