Wine Review: Sea Smoke has become a bit of a cult wine, which makes it very hard to find. However, I scored some 2004 for review. This translucent red wine is very intense on the nose. The fruit scents are very inviting and the wines best quality. On the palate, the wine is very very flavorful and a touch astringent. It has loads of minerality and black current flavors. You will find this style is very similar to Oregon Pinots as opposed to the smooth and silk style of Russian River. The finish is dry, tangy, and a bit extended. Enjoy - Ken
